Three tips to keep your Christmas tree alive

Water your tree as soon as you bring it into your home  and never let it dry out. Make sure to check  the water levels daily. Once the water dries up, it can start a downward spiral resulting in dry needles that fall off.

Make a fresh cut in the base of the trunk. There is no need to drill holes into the base, just cut an inch or two off the trunk. This will encourage the tree to suck up water and stay fresh.

Don’t put your tree near a heat vent or in direct sunlight as this will cause the tree to dry out faster. Sometimes this can’t be avoided if there is limited space in your living room but if this is the case you might want to wait an extra week before you bring your tree into your home.
